Every Show Privacy Policy
Effective October 10, 2026
Every Show is a diary for the concerts and festivals you've been to, made by Alex Johnson. This page explains what happens to your information when you use it.
The short version: without an account, everything stays on your iPhone. If you sign in, your shows are backed up so they can sync between your devices. The app has no ads, no analytics and no tracking either way.
Without an account
You don't need an account to use Every Show. The shows, artists, venues and notes you log are stored only on your iPhone, and the app doesn't send them anywhere. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, Apple's backup includes them the same way it includes any other app's data. Deleting Every Show deletes them.
With an account
Signing in is optional. You can sign in with Apple, with Google or with a code sent to your email. When you do:
- Clerk (clerk.com) handles sign-in and stores your account: your email address and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the name that service shares. If you choose Hide My Email with Apple, Clerk only gets Apple's private relay address.
- Convex (convex.dev) stores a copy of your shows: each show's name, kind, dates, venue, city, notes and lineup. That copy is what lets your shows come back on a new phone and stay in step across your devices.
- Both store data on servers in the United States. They hold it on Every Show's behalf and don't use it for anything else.
- Your shows stay private to your account. No one else can see them, and nothing is shared or published.
On the App Store, this is listed as Email Address, User ID and Other User Content, linked to you, used only for the app's own features and not for tracking.
Deleting your data
Open the Account screen in the app, then Manage Account, and tap Delete Account. That deletes your account with Clerk and every show stored with Convex, and you choose whether to keep the shows on your iPhone. Signing out leaves the backup in place, so you can sign in again later.
You can also email support@geteveryshow.com and ask for your data to be deleted.
What Every Show doesn't do
- No ads, analytics or crash reporting services
- No tracking across other apps or websites
- No selling or renting of your information
- No access to your contacts, photos or location
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may give me anonymous crash reports and usage totals. Apple handles those under Apple's privacy policy.
Tips
Every Show is free. The Tip Jar lets you leave an optional one-time tip, which unlocks nothing. Apple handles the whole payment through the App Store under Apple's privacy policy. Every Show never sees your name, Apple Account, card or anything else about you; Apple tells me only how many tips were bought, without saying who bought them.
The waitlist
If you join the waitlist on geteveryshow.com, your email address is stored with Convex. It's used for one thing: an email to say Every Show is on the App Store. It isn't linked to an account, shared or used for anything else. Email support@geteveryshow.com to be taken off the list.
This website
geteveryshow.com is hosted by Vercel and uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits to each page. It doesn't use cookies or keep anything that identifies you. Like any website, Vercel keeps standard request logs, which include your IP address, for a short time.
Children
Every Show isn't aimed at children under 13, and it doesn't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If Every Show ever starts handling information differently, I'll update this page and its effective date before that version of the app is released.
